If Cipo is playing mind games I wonder if that is what he
was doing when he was getting his ass kicked last summer
in the Giro.

I think the real question is whether the sprinters' teams
have the horsepower to reel in Poggio attackers.

I agree. If anything, Petacchi is playing mind games to take
some pressure
off himself. If Vino and Bettini can get the gap, I think
they'll hold off
the bunch sprinters. I wish we could get the last hour of
the race on OLN.

I can't let that pass, Bob. At the time Cipo bowed out of
last year's Giro the score was 3-2 in Petacchi's favor.

Mirko Celestino, at long last. Probably the most impressive
MSR riding record of all non-winners, so far. Not that he
has much of a team, though.

Armstrong apparently thinks Max has a better chance than
George tomorrow. Hardly a difficult analysis. I think George
will make the final selection and be in the group trying to
catch Bettini and Vino (maybe VDB too) on the Via Roma.
George will start around 14th place out of 21 or so and will
finish in 20th behind someone like Giovanni Lombardi but
ahead of Mirco Lorenzetto.
