Moving BB shell 1" forward: Effect?

Unless you are racing and a stickler for those things, I can't imagine
one inch further on the pedals would be that big of a deal. Just set
your seat back an inch and get a shorter stem if it is.

with eccentric BBs - which probably have a range in the neighborhood of an inch.

I think RAL meant to move the seat forward an inch and longer stem.

Chances are you can adjust your shoe's cleat placement to make up a bit
of the difference.
