I remember a very interesting old-fashioned pub in Elton, it looked like someones house!
It's still there. Now there's a place with as much atmosphere as the moon.
With regard to impulse buys, I used to spend loads of time firtling around in bargain bins and once came out with a pair of fleece lined mits. I now realise that a pair of gloves which require at least one hand to be bare before they can be correctly put on is a useless pair of gloves as you will never be able to put them both on. I now appreciate the design considerations of more expensive gloves and will never again pursue to folly of cheap alternatives.

I bought one of them self-exploding umbrellas in London for £5 about 8 years ago in a sudden downpour. I then went into several shops and took the Underground home out of London where the sun was shining. Haven't used it since as brollies are bloody awkward...
