Conceivably, the combustion of petrol in an internal
combustion engine, or maybe of coal in a power-station
generating electricity used in propulsion of a chair-
lift or train.

In my own case, I have occasionally cycled to the coast
and come back by train. Since I live some distance above
sea-level...
