Today had to be the worst. Maybe it had something to do with
being Friday the 13th. The first one was a woman who
stopped in the middle of an aisle, just a few feet from a
display that had been set up in the aisle. Of course, the
best place to stop when an aisle is partially blocked is
right next to the thing blocking it. As if that wasn't bad
enough, when she looked over and saw me coming she twisted
her cart around so that it was parked across the aisle,
making it impossible. I stopped and waited patiently, for
about 10 seconds, then said "Excuse me". She completely
ignored me until I said "C'mon you've got the whole aisle
blocked."
When I got the to checkout I was piling up my groceries on
the conveyor a lady came up behind me, reached across in
front of me to grab one of those divider bars and set it
behind the last item on the belt. She was about to start
piling her groceries on , so I just kept putting my stuff on
behind her divider and gives me a dirty look. So she grabbed
the divider and set near the end of the conveyor. I was
reaching into the cart and tossing the stuff toward the back
of the pile and managed to hit her hand twice :-)
I got the stuff paid for, took it out to the car and loaded
it into the trunk and started to leave. I had to stop at
the end of the row because there was car coming out. I
probably had lots of time to get out because the guy was
driving slowly, but I waited, better safe than sorry. The
guy stopped right in front of me blocking me in as he let
his wife out. She gets half way out of the car and then
stops to talk. I don't think they appreciated my tooting the
horn. Goodness knows what prompted him to stop right in
front of me as I was obviously trying to get out. He had
already drive 100 feet past the store entrance.
I hate crowds at the best of time, but running into three
clods in the same shopping trip was just too much.
