Very nice! I'd been wondering when we'd get a chance to see hte new steed. What's it ride like, a mate of mine is looking for something like this as his general street biek rather tha his tourer.

Having ridden him but a mile so far, it's difficult to be sure. I would
have tried him today, but:

o I'm still rather sore from Saturday's crash, and
o at the moment, I can't see the far side of the car park due to a downpour
of tropical intensity

But he felt pretty nice round the block yesterday. Might commute on him
tomorrow if it's not raining - 'twould be a pity to get him all covered in
Skog(tm) so early...

That depends on the language, of course. I first came across it as the
technical term for the stuff which floats to the surface when, as a
Penniless Student Oaf, one is trying to create a nourishing meal from a
mixture of rice, packet soup and Stuff from the Cupboard, and as such is
/very/ descriptive of the stuff with which typical country lanes are coated
:-)

I was wondering though...with all that illumination do you have to
inform your local air traffic control when out at night? It would be a
tragedy to get a graze from a Cessna!

Haven't tried him after dark yet, but the unlit bits of the commute are
mostly in Epping Forest, so the trees will probably prevent it ;-)

OTOH, there /is/ a couple of miles of unlit lane in open country, and given
the proximity to Stansted...

I was just explaining how disturbing I find your use of it.

It is disturbing in exactly the opposite way that the kitchen
in our house is disturbing: when we bought the house we also
acquired a set of matching fitted white goods.

Hmmm... I'd always thought the amount of low-flying aircraft near Chateau
Unfit Family was due only to the proximity of an airbase. Now I'm worried...
due to the amount of lighting & reflectives worn by the Unfit Family when
cycling during hours of darkness...
