Obviously, there must be some reason for the vandalism. The most likely reason is that the bikers
are riding illegally.Quoted message said:-Andrew

Well, having witnessed similiar vandalism on clearly posted multiple use trails, I'm not sure I
agree with your "obvious" conclusion.
Mine is more likely.

Now you are simply becoming childish.
Quoted message said:I've always had the sense that this kind of vandalism was rooted in a desire to make the trails
unpalatable to bikers.
Having never TALKED to the hikers about it.... 🙂
Quoted message said:Actually, I AM a hiker. Sometimes I ride. Sometimes I hike. And sometimes an
idiot on a bike annoys me. And sometimes an idiot on foot annoys me. I see both sides of this.
That's irrelevant, since it's the BIKE that is the problem. DUH!
Quoted message said:It's always nice to hear from you though.
Sure. You are a masochist. 🙂
Quoted message said:Yup. But I figure the more time you spend responding to me, the less you spend
annooying the rest of the my biking friends. I consider this community service.
BS. I will just post all of my replies to the newsgroups.
Don't send me any more email. I added you to my idiot filter.
