I don't *need* to say a thing. You'll put the noose around your *own* neck
and it looks like you are doing so.

  2. Why just last week you were talking about the dumb [censored] people say to
you and how much it bothered you. If I liken it to my post you have
been making reference to then you too were hysterical.

get the impression I am a hysterical 14 year old on too much caffeine?
Speak for yourself and not others OK? Who has the past with all the
drama cast in her posts? You're the one who gets hysterical over the
small [censored] in life. Who has more "whinny whoa is me" posts?.... You (or

Only YOU complain about what you're having to eat, what you're going to

I think Luna is an intelligent person trying to find her way in life
just like the rest of us. She just expresses herself "out loud" on a
newsgroup as she works through things and wonders how to handle various
situations; she is generally quite articulate as she does so. She tries
on different looks and fashions trying to decide what fits her own
tastes and needs at different points in her life. Haven't we ALL done
    that? I know *I* have.

People often think I'm kind of weird because I also have a tendency to
think and wonder out loud about things and to describe things in great
detail (usually way more than they want to HEAR :-) That's just my
personality. Depending upon how I channel those tendencies, it can come
out as entertaining or boring or just plain odd -- it depends on the
current audience and my own mood. Some people "get me" and some don't.
We all have our own style, and I think Luna's style is refreshing,
partly because it reminds me of myself and my own internal conversations
    :-)

  9. Which dumb [censored]? The work rant? I believe I labeled that as a rant,
which gives fair warning that that's what it was. I don't think it was
    dumb [censored], anyway.

I really care about my job. Maybe you don't think I should, maybe
because it's part time and it doesn't pay all that great. I could say I
care because parents trust us with their kids, and make it sound all
noble and [censored], but the truth is I care because it's my job. I always
care about whatever job I have. Even at the movie theater, where
literally each and every other employee there was a slacker, I cared
enough to wipe the countertops, sweep, throw out a popcorn bucket if it
fell on the floor instead of putting it back on the stack, answer the
phone instead of ignoring it, replace the toilet paper, all the little
things that you're supposed to do there. If you're hired to do
something, you should do it. Even though I didn't have any help, at
least no one got in my way like at the summer camp job.

I found out recently that the head of the camp which had no schedule,
used supplies indiscriminately, left them out to get destroyed, and
decided on a whim to take over the room I was in, is actually best
friends with one of the directors, which goes a long way towards
explaining why his behavior was tolerated. I'd say I'm rankled, but
    hardly hysterical.

I agree. Do people need me to send them some Xanax? [censored]. Quit worrying
about dumb [censored] and how people write. Some people here ponder deep thoughts
and it nauseates me. Lauren writes with enthusiasm---big deal. Let's all
    lose some sleep over it.

  11. Hello Laureen, everyone. I've been lurking here for quite some
time....*thinking I still cared about Laureen. I'm the old high school
friend you supposedly knew before you dropped out of H.S. Yeah, we
were really good friends. @@ I hardly knew you--saw you at church.
But after I recognized you at the ortho last fall, you *posed yourself
as a friend, and against better judgment, I signed on. Let's see...the
last time I saw you as a "friend" you weighed 380. When we were
dieting together last fall, I lost 33 pounds, you gained 40. I thought
maybe once you lost your weight, something resembling a normal person
would surface--obviously I was mistaken. Your rapid and effortless W/L
has given you nothing but a feeling of superiority to everyone who
struggles with obesity and dieting. You're right about one thing---I
sure was supportive. Your raunchy mouth, selfishness, hatred towards
your daughter and your poor beaten-down husband, indifference, and
complete lack of respect for people is what lost you my friendship. If
you think being "thin" is going to help you win friends and influence
    people, think again.

  12. Wow.

Don't hold back, tell us what you really think. LOL

Laureen's posts have made it clear that her current amazing weightloss is
not "effortless." It is, however, apparently, somewhat compulsory.

I find WLS frightening in its risks and disturbing in its re-engineering of
a healthy body. Laureen's weight plunge is so shockingly fast, that it
makes me think of a helicopter with no fuel. The pilot is confidently
saying that the chopper will just auto-rotate down. All I can see is the
ground coming up, up, up. There is also risk along the way down. The
critical parts have been reworked. This is a first test flight, and there
    ain't no parchute.

  16. You sound rather nasty Rhonda (No, Laureen didn't give me your name.
I websearched to ensure there was a reasonable chance this wasn't just
a drive-by trolling. Enough information - such as your geographic
location - matched to satisfy me.) You know damn well Laureen's been
through hell the past couple of years, and having known her since HS
you also know full well she's a tad bit high strung. I suspect that
things were hunky-dory as long as you were the one losing weight. You
had the upper hand. Now that you know she's losing lots of weight
(the pictures don't lie) every petty complaint you've harbored against
her for who knows how many years bubbled to the surface and spilled
    out here.
It's not pretty. In one fell swoop you've put the lie to the
"supportive" act you'd been playing. IMO Laureen would have been far
better off with nobody than with you, reluctantly playing the role of
"friend" while you thought all sorts of nasty judgemental things about
    her. That's just vile.

friend you supposedly knew before you dropped out of H.S. Yeah, we
were really good friends. @@ I hardly knew you--saw you at church.
But after I recognized you at the ortho last fall, you *posed
    yourself
as a friend, and against better judgment, I signed on. Let's
    see...the
last time I saw you as a "friend" you weighed 380. When we were
dieting together last fall, I lost 33 pounds, you gained 40. I
    thought
maybe once you lost your weight, something resembling a normal
    person
would surface--obviously I was mistaken. Your rapid and effortless
    W/L
has given you nothing but a feeling of superiority to everyone who
struggles with obesity and dieting. You're right about one
    thing---I
sure was supportive. Your raunchy mouth, selfishness, hatred
    towards
your daughter and your poor beaten-down husband, indifference, and
complete lack of respect for people is what lost you my friendship.
    If
you think being "thin" is going to help you win friends and
    influence
    people, think again.

oOooOOOOhhhh. You're. like, scary and stuff.

Where have you been lately, girl?

That's me, all McScary and stuff. <G>
I've been hanging in alt.true-crime. Different dynamics. *Very*.
According to the Queen Bee I'm a troll 'cause anyone who disagrees
with her is automagically a troll <G> Interesting though. I pop in
here now and again to see what's going on. I noted She Who Is The
Curse Of ASDLC has been back around. Again. JC is still being a
pain, the vegan/vegetarian/meateating bashing has cropped up again for
the umpteenth time...IOW things are normal. :-)

That's so weird! I used to hang out in at-c quite a bit, then came over
here to asdl-c. We did a little switcheroo.

So who's this Queen Bee you speak of?

Just Kris. She took it into her head to call me a troll because she
likes Sharon (AKA Sharonpo) and I called Sharon on being a troll based
on her extensive years of trolling, up to and including the present
day. I came across an entire website devoted to her exploits. To
make sure that the accusations on the site were true I checked the
headers on the messages cited in Google. They were, but somehow that
made *me* a troll for pointing out the truth. So be it. I also don't
think she cared for it when I tested a theory of mine that Kris was
summoning Sharon to attack people she had "killfiled" when she was
angry. I set Kris up, inserted proof of the set-up in my headers
(hidden but provable later) and sure enough along came Sharon in less
than a half hour after weeks of absence. Bad Carmen. <G>
