  1. I love his candor in interviews. Read his comments about Voight as a
riders rep and also about Moser:

Nice interview. One of my best memories of Boonen was when he won at
the last stage of the Tour de France. I think it was 3 years ago. And
also when he won Paris-Roubaix. I hope he wins tomorrow.

That's a good one - thanks, John. Boonen is a pretty funny guy.

    And his girlfriend reads rbr:

"Yep, the gossip treadmill is still working overtime. Is it jealousy? I
don’t know, but I can tell you that it’s really annoying. I’m not in
the tabloids just yet, but the amount of venom people dare spit on the
    internet is just mind-boggling.

    Then don’t read it.

I don’t. But my significant other has the irresistible urge to check
cycling forums. But you can’t do anything about it, unfortunately.
It’s impossible to control what people say on the internet.

I'd love to have heard the tone of voice for that comment about Jens. I
mean, the comment itself is pretty much true - or at least consistent with
Jens' public persona. But it could either have been said affectionately or
derisively. I mean, Jens /is/ a bit mad, and if you have to work with him
I suspect that could become annoying. But he's mad in a very attractive
    and likeable way.

I'm fed up with Life 1.0. I never liked it much and now it's getting
me down. I think I'll upgrade to MSLife 97 -- you know, the one that
comes in a flash new box and within weeks you're crawling with bugs.

    Dumbass -

He's probably not talking about rbr in that particular instance. This
forum is pretty nice to him.

    thanks,

And things don't get better further up the food chain:

GVA: Wouldn't you want to take up a position like [riders rep]? You
once personally stopped the entire peloton during the Tour of Belgium.

TB: No thanks. I don't want to baby-sit a bunch of kids.
