In March I wrote a comparison of the Heads Up and 3rd Eye glasses mounting mirrors. This included:
"The attachment arm of the 3rd Eye is notorious for snapping after a while, usually in cold weather when the plastic is brittle. In my experience they last about a year (they're good enough that I don't actually object to having to replace them once a year). Hopefully the Heads Up will be more durable."
Well, my Heads Up snapped this morning in the same place as the previous two 3rd Eye mirrors - after only 6 weeks of daily use :-(
I really must acquire a Take a Look mirror and give that a go.

You should. You'd certainly have to be abusing the Take-a-Look to snap it, as it's made of pretty robust metal wire.

I use a bike-mounted mirror, the Mountain Mirrycle, on the 'bent. Love it. We also have one on the triplet and The Management has one on her bike; I can't say as I am that taken with the idea of bikes on wedgies (according to Randy "BHSI" Swart a mirror is "essential" on a bike, just like a PFDB - I knew I was right not to want one...)

I used to use a bike-mounted mirror (a cheap one from Halfords, but still pretty good). Glasses-mounted suits me better, though.

I have been using a Bike-Eye mirror the fixing position on the frame gives it protection should the bike fall over or when leaning the bike against a wall, its so durable I have been riding with it for a couple of years and it's still as good as new. if you need more info on this mirror look up BIKE-EYE on ASK JEVES or GOOGLE. Have a look and give this one a go. Tony M
