Had an e-mail reporting that Cofidis has given him the
push... and that Decathlon's not going supply bike to the
team anymore.
Anyone else heard this - can't find anything on L'Equipe,
TF1 or the "local" sources.

Not heard that but Cofidis are apparently quitting pro-
cycling and looking at setting up a golf team. They could
hire Chris Boardman!
Vaisseur went to court yesterday to get reintegratd into the
tour, no decisions yet. He accuses LeBlanc of double
standards for letting a number of pro-cyclists under
investigation in Italy for starting.

Can golfers be corrupted as much as Millar's Cofidis
team was? Was it the Vuelta where Millar stopped his
bike a few feet from the finish line in protest of the
stage route that day? He's a cheater, a quitter, and
global citizen bore. Some like Lance, Tyler have the
ability to raise teams to a higher level. Then there
are some, who are like boat anchors, that make it damn
near impossible for a team to progress ahead. Millar
was the latter.

You should place more blame on the team management. They
style was to accumulate riders with UCI points. David
managed to keep enough for him and win prologues and time
trials, along with a regular TdF stage to maintain his
profile. He used to be considered a prospect for the TdF
podium, but I could see clearly he wasn't anywhere near the
climber he needed to achieve such. That Cofidis kept him
around suggested they were fine about not having a serious
GT contender. O'Grady is easily twice the rider of Millar
and it's a shame to see his season affected. Smart of
Astarloa to bail when he had his chance.

I think his finest hour was in last year's Tour when he got
his Directeur Sportif replaced ("promoted out"😉 after
failing to listen to the latter's continued advice about
putting a front derailleur.

I believe Caddyshack was a documentary.

This is one thing I do hold against Millar. He blew his top,
said regrettable things about Alain Bondue, which pretty
much were accepted by the team bigwigs and after Bondue was
on his way out David seemed to cool down, rather forgetting
he made such accusations.
His stunt on L'Angliru was utterly nuts.

Wouldn't you be [censored] and looking for someone to blame if
you had just risked having your heart blowup by taking a
course of EPO only to have it all taken away by your own
stupidity?
