  1. I'm considering using a metronome on my training rides. The digital device has cadences from 40 to
over 200. Any usefulness in this?

  2. ther is actuall a litle one that clips onto your earlobe and fits in your ear for $20; made by KORG

Why not just buy a cadence meter????

One thing I've done which is a *little* more entertaining than a metronome:

Buy yourself an MP3 player. Find songs you like... sort them by BPM (beats per minute). On long,
slow days listen to songs with low bpms. On fast, intense days listen to songs with high bpms.

Not unless your planning on riding a unicycle and playing folk guitar for kids at birthday parties.
