Does anyone know a good cheap formula that will tackle the removal of as
much metals as possible from the cns?
(I'm using fresh cilantro at the moment)
Thanks

I had amalgams a while back.

When I was a kid, we used to mess around in factories and I remember once
getting my hands on a bottle of triple distilled mercury.
I remember pouring the liquid into a cardboard tray and putting my whole
hand in it. I also remember how hard it was to push my hand into the liquid.
If I had known of the toxicity of mercury, then maybe I would have done
that.

AnthIt's doubtful that you absorbed a significant dose of mercury from either
that exposure or from your amalgams. Even if you did, your body does
eliminate mercury, and over time, you are probably mercury free. As my daddy
used to say, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."--Rich

Still, I'd feel better in my mind knowing that I had done all things
possible to remove any risk that might be there.
So, do you know anything that will pull mercury (and possibly other toxic
metals) out of the body more quickly than
their half-life predicts?

Dude, some things that are recommended for Mercury toxicity are:
(From "prescription for nutritional healing"😉Vit-C 4000 mg or more per day in divided doses, helps remove metals.
You have to work your way up to that dose though,
if u start out that high you'll get diarrhea and stomach cramps.Selenium, 200mcg daily, in divided doses, neutralizes the effects of
mercury.Vit-E , 400-800 IU daily, works with selenium to neutralize mercury.
It also recommends some amino acids, glutathione, L-methionine, and
L-cysteine.
Not to mention B vitamins. Vit-A, kelp or alfalfa (remove toxins),
apple pectin (remove toxic metals), Lecithin granules (protects brain cells
from mercury poisoning),
and brewers yeast.
-------------------------If your wanting to keep the cost down, i'd start with vit-c 250mg
or less, four times a day and work your way up to higher doses. Then Brewers yeast 1 tablespoon twice a day (brewers yeast has selenium,
B-vitamins, RNA, DNA, and substantial amounts of 16 amino acids, and
chromium).And plain old vitamin E.
Lecithin granules are not that bad if you mix them in with your cereal, i
know a place
on the internet you can them also if you're interested. You should really go to a library and look through some books on mercury
toxicity,
and natural herb books though, it would probably be very helpful.~Ray~

Before doing all of this, find out if you have mercury toxicity first.
Thi sfollows a time honored tradition of "start at the beginning."

Thanks Ray - I'm already doing 2g Vitamin C per day and Cilantro - I'll look
into the others.

How do I find out if I have mercury toxicity when there's supposed to be no
symptoms of low dose as it's 'safe'?

I'm pretty stressed at the moment, so I'm doing an experiment to see if I
can have an impact on this.
Thanks

Some articles :-
http://home.earthlink.net/~jedcline/cilantro.htmlhttp://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?cmd=Retrieve&db=PubMed&list_uids=8686573&dopt=Abstract
We also found Chinese parsley accelerates the excretion of Hg, Pb, and A1
from the body though the urine.Doesn't say much on CNS

DMSA (meso-2, 3-dimercaptosucccinic acid) is another mercury chelating
agent. It is the only chelating agent other than cilantro and
d-penicillamine81 that penetrates brain cells. DMSA removes mercury both via
the kidneys and via the bile.82 The sulfhydryl groups in both DMPS and DMSA
bind very tightly to mercury. So if this paper is 'true' Cilantro does 'chelate' mercury from the brain.

Still don't get how it's CNS (and I don't have access to full pubmed)

This is more nonsense.
"This will become news for people suffering from the ill effect of
amalgam dental fillings, which contains approximately 50% mercury. Dr.
Omura recently performed another study in which three amalgam filling
where removed from an individual using all of the precautions
available to prevent absorption of the mercury from the amalgam. Even
with strong air and water suction, water rinses, and a rubber dental
dam, significant amounts of mercury were later found in the
individual's lungs, kidneys,, endocrine organs, liver and heart. There
was no mercury in these tissue prior to the amalgam removal.
Remarkably, without the help of any chelation agents, cilantro was
able to remove the mercury in two to three weeks. (Acupunct
Electrother Res 96;21 (2): 133-60.) "How did he show the mercury was in these organs, and how did he show
it was gone? There is no easy and validated method of doing so.I was wondering whether or not the patient was alive during the amalgam
removal, though the two-or-three week wait suggests that he'd have badly
decomposed otherwise. The first thought that crossed my mind was "he
performed an autopsy." Ah, but I think the journal name gives a clue; it's
probably Electroacupuncture According to Voll, which involves an
electrodiagnostic device much like Hulda's Stinkrometer if I remember
right. Either that or muscle testing. -
I think the original study used a radioactive tracer.
