Mens Olympic Race

I have enjoyed this discussion and will probably look at people sprinting
the last 400 mtrs in an ironman differently. I think one thing I find
interesting is CF's statement "no matter how foolish you might look" It
struck a chord for me, if we really cared if we looked foolish or not we
wouldn't be able to concentrate on any part of the race. Everybody is doing
their own thing and it is ridiculous for me or anyone else to put ourselves
into their shoes and say what they are doing is foolish. My wife said I
looked like a dork in my loose fitting training swim suit at the lake last
week when everyone else was in their wetsuits and I said " That's what it's
all about" being comfortable in my dorkiness.
