Nibali had a 9.5 second lead on Dekker with 5km to go--unfortunately for
Nibali, he gave up 10 seconds.
Brajkovic gained a huge amount of time between the first and second time
checks and held on for the gold. Dekker did not look happy on the podium's
second step.

In an interview on Dutch tv he said he really wanted to go home in the jersey that evening and was really disappointed when he
'only' got silver. In hindsight though he was glad with the medal when he saw the results, 2 seconds slower and he would have been
outside the medals.

Dominique Cornu (18y) ending on an excellent 4th place as a first
year's Espoir! He ended 4th in Hamilton at the Junior category. I
wonder what that will bring for the future

Cornu was 2 seconds out of silver. Very impressive. Here are the time
