  1. Does anyone know how Megan Monroe is doing? I understand she was riding for
Diet Cheerwine at Toona and crashed in stage 6. The word is she crashed
under the overpass braking her forks. She was said to be face down with
blood pooling underneath. She possibly had broken teeth and who knows how
many cuts to her face. Anybody have the news on her injuries and recovery?

Oh nuts. Jenn Chapman of the Velo Bella team came out and rode with
us yesterday and I could have asked her, she rode 'Toona, too.

Leah Goldstein was injured badly enough (arm) to be hospitalized in the TdT as
well - and she is (or was supposed to be) representing Israel in the Olympics.
    Any news on her?

Funny how these things work. A consultant at my place of work is a
fellow Cat 4 and friend of Goldstein's. She's pretty badly beat up. I
don't think she'll make it to the Olympics; I gather her season is more
    or less over now.

I heard she wasn't going to Athens anyway. Here another one for the women.
Susanne Ljungskog races against the men as she boosted early in the year.
57th is not a good showing but it was an open race.

So who's the Israeli women's team? According to this

    http://www.cyclingnews.com/riders/2003/interviews/?id=nicole_freedman03

it was supposed to be three North Americans with dual citizenship:
Nicole Freedman (USA), Leah Goldstein (USA), and Shani Bloch (Canada).

I don't know for sure, as rumors go but NF hasn't had a great year either
with her DNF's and trying to scrap together enough money to get to the
games. I can't bring up CN right now but there might be more hints at NF's
website. I haven't read the updates lately for Snerf. I heard some rumors a
while back that she sold her house and went back to living in a van, but
can't confirm, and am not interested enough to check out. She's not one of
my favorite riders. I'd say Ulmer for the track, maybe Cooke and Melchers
for the road race. TT could be Van Moorsel.

Hot and het, otherwise not interest for the Sierraman?
