  1. Looks like another huge disappointment for Iban Mayo, 66th place & 27:31
    behind. It has been a strange year for him. It looked like he planned his
    whole season around the TDF this year so it must be really frustrating. I
    know that he has a sore knee, but did he crash? I wonder if the huge crowd
    of orange will show up in the Pyrenees?

    Just bad tendonitis from what I understand.

    I think the way Mayo has built up to the Tour, he will come into form
    during the Vuelta. After all, his program was basically the same as
    what Roberto Heras has done every year.

    I think I heard Phil and Paul mention tendonitis but nothing about a crash
