  1. I am considering building a set of wheels and would like to use wider 25 mm
tires. Can this size tire be safely mounted on the Open Pro rims? Very little
info available on the Mavic website. Any other rim I should be considering?

    Neal

  2. I run both Conti 700x28's and Grant's Roly Polys on Open Pro Rims. No
    problems.

I have Open Pro rims on all our bikes and use 700x25 Conti and Michelin

tires satisfactorily for many 1000's of miles each

In spite of what the daffy web site says, you can put 32+on these w/o problem,
    so 25 is no problema-

I've used 25mm tyres on an Open Pro for quite a while now.

I've used 35 mm studded snow tires on Open Pro rims (& I weigh 235). 25 mm is
the *smallest* tire I have ever used with them.

Thanks everyone for the input. Several of the online bikeshops state that 23mm
is the limit. I had my doubts about that limit and I am glad there is a source
like this to get real facts. That Mavic web site is one of the worst I have
    seen.

  10. You already have your answers, but I am using Rolly-Polys as well on the Open
Pros, 27 measured width. It is nice to know I can go wider if I choose to.

    I hope so.
I've been using Rivendell Roll-y Pol-y 28c tires for two years on my Open
    Pro rims.
I've never used anything smaller than 25c.
