  1. I'm currently using 9spd Dura Ace on my 2003 Cosmos wheelset. Can I run Campy 10 speed on this hub? Do I have to use an American Classic Cassette? I'm hearing conflicting stories. I would really like to keep these wheels when I switch to new Record.

  2. find a mavic rep and ask him if you can swap the free hub bodies over to campag

campag 10 speed has different splines and won't fit, dura ace 10 speed will have different spacing and a custom spacing system like marachisio will leave you with 10 speed spacing but only for 9 gears which can cause problems

i'm currently going through the same hassles with a set of spinergy rev x wheels

Cycle Dynamics or Wheels Manufacturing makes individual cogs of both types, then use Campy spacers or vice versa. The ten cogs will fit across the width of the nine speed hub.

There is no 'spacer kit' that gets 10 campy cogs on a shimano width casette.

  5. Am I missing something important? Why not just use a Mavic M10 cassette? They fit on Mavic's Shimano-splined hubs and will give you 10 speed Campy shifting. I am currently using the M10 cassette on my Cosmic Carbons; I originally had a Shimano drivetrain and so had a shimano compatible hub on the Cosmics, also. After switching to Record, I still wanted to use the Cosmics. The M10 works perfectly.

  6. One more thing....the Mavic M10 cassette gives you the 10 speed spacing on the 9 speed hub, BUT...this only works on Mavic wheels. The cassette is supplied with spacers for Campy 10.
