RE/
Quoted message said:Pete, a lot's been posted on a.m-b about Maverick
suspension. Google my name or G.T. to find many of the
threads (I like mine, Greg's not impressed, but I'm sure
you figured that out. :-) )
Just got done Googling said threads.
Now I've got to come out of the closet and confess to
getting one too.
My basis of comparison is my Ellsworth Isis/Romic shock
that I hope to A/B it with as soon as I get my other rear
wheel fixed.
Frankly I like it. Maybe my Ellsworth was coming up on pivot
bearing replacement time or something...but this thing feels
*tight* compared.
It's also a lot easier to track stand on and to do the
thing where you lean forward and swing the tail around -
not that I can actually *do* it...but my attempts feel a
lot more secure.
I also like the hard-tail feel when getting out of the
saddle on a hill.
If somebody put electrodes in the pleasure center of my
brain and recorded outputs while riding the two bikes I
don't think there'd be *that* much of a diff because each
bike has it's own characteristics....but I *do* like the
Maverick sus....
