Funny. But where is Robert? This from the BBC:
At present, Millar's whereabouts are unknown. Bilsland describes him as
leading a reclusive lifestyle far from the world of cycling and admits he is
not even sure what country he now lives in. In 2003, he was awarded with one
of only 14 places on the Scottish Sports Hall of Fame but was nowhere to be
seen at the awards ceremony.

I was spectating, not playing photographer, wish I'd caught it on film...
But the highlight of my day was watching Chris Horner, endo at the bottom of
a steep 180 turn. I watched him go through on warm-up and try to ride it,
and get all tangled up in the roots and sand. Sure enough on lap one, he
shoots down in about 10th position, hits the sand and flies over the bars.
some guys are slow learners.

<Mark VandenBerghe> "some guys are slow learners."
Is it just my imagination or did Horner finish in 13th place? Where
were you placed again?
I would have thought that someone riding their first cyclocross and
starting in the Elite level and finishing 13th would be lauded. But
here winning is everything. And Mark has won so much he ought to be a
great judge of that.

I was lucky enough to get to watch Lyne Bessette do her first couple
of Cross races. She was having a blast but , not quite as smooth as
Tim. She'd bobble, trip over a barrier, slide out, and always had a
smile, laughing at herself while being competitive. Seems to me she's
done OK since then, no?
I really wish that i'd had a video camera for some of her stuff. I'm
sure Horner's learning curve won't be any slower.
