Fat-travel forks only waste energy. Are you doing any jumps? If so, go
145. If not, stick with 130. It's power-sapping enough already. Are you
getting into big stuff these days, or are you going to doing the NJ stuff?

Planning some rocky trips later this year and more northern NJ trips
which will get me to the rocks. The new bike will not see much use
around here, but will be the one I ship out to where ever it is life
takes me. I am still seeking new opportunities out west as well.

Plus, I want a new toy. OK? There, I said it. And don't tell me
nobody else thinks the same way.

If I had the choice, I'd go with the 145. Then I would have the option of
setting it to a travel that suits you riding style or even particular ride.
I have had adjustable forks and although I didn't constantly mess around
with them, it was very nice in more than a few situations. It also depends
on the features of the fork, durability, etc. Of course, you could always
get two single purpose bikes...

Which I have. I ended up with the 130. If someone catches me hucking
off anything more than 2' high and my insurance company finds out, my
kids will get nothing. And I doubt I'd make it off of anything over 2'.

Your not the only old fart here. I'm here it started raining after the
shower trip and it wasn't called for. If I don't have a job after
tomorrow's interveiw with Mayces life after Filenes. I'll be in NE
Philly in April to see the grandkids and take a ride with you. Jersey
or PA ride. We can try out those old bones and leave the rubber ones to
the younger ones. what did you mean by posting here will work out
better. I got to get a beer and check out a few things

Good man. Think about it... 145-130=15mm is roughly half an inch. That
won't kill you on a jump... your form will.
