Make yer oWn Flavored Syrups!

HA HA!
I put one cup of (almost boiling) water and 2 cups of powdered Splenda.
added ONE Tbs. of Maple flavoring.....and it looks (dark brown, clear)
exactly like "Praline" by da Vinci,and it tastes virtually identical,
too.
I use "Praline" to flavor and sweeten my coffee and iced tea....and have
been spending way too much money for it, it seems..
I cant tell it from the da Vinci product.
It's sweet, it's maple, it goes great with tea, coffee, icecream, ...?.
The perfect liquid sweetner.

I also got a bottle of Rum flavoring, Brandy, and almond. If I can make
a close second to the daVinci "Ameretto", I can save substancia
bucks---at 8 bucks a bottle plus shipping....gets hairy.

So....all I know so far is, MAPLE definitely works. It's excellent. An
"all-around" flavoring for tea, coffee, deserts..

I'll let you know how the Rum and Brandy and almomnd come out.

Even my little Walmart selection was pretty impressice---lot's of fruit
flavors, berriese, pineapple,coconut, chocolate....there's LOTS of
"flavorings" standing beside the Vanilla extract.

and if mixing any flavor you like with a cup of water and 2 cups Splenda
will make you a SF bottle of flavored syrup for cheap....

Yes, but the powdered Splenda has carbs, whereas the liquid Splenda used
in DaVinci syrups has negligible carbs. Depends on how close you're
watching carbs, because they can really sneak up on you.

I hope you realize that granular Splenda has 24g carbs/cup so your cup of
'liquid Splenda' has 50g carbs. The DaVinci syrups have 0g carbs because
they use pure sucralose without the maltodextrin fillers.

Yes but this isn't the first indication that she isn't who and what she
says she is. I have two legally blind people in my extended family,
neither could say that one dark liquid looked like another, in fact
neither can tell the difference between coffee and tea without smelling
or tasting first.

Also, check the path headers on her "web tv" posts. Like mine, they are
not what they are supposed to be.

Actually, some time ago she sent me some links to a site that has
tools that allow exactly that.

There are many different kinds of visual impairment. In my case, my
vision is slowly deteriorating although I'm not yet legally blind - my
doc thinks it will be a few more years yet before things get to that
stage. I can distinguish colours quite well. I can't see fine
details (like words, street signs, small fonts on a computer screen)
but I can easily tell the difference between colours.

For future referencem tho, my particular eye disorder is called
Starghartz syndrom", sometimes, "Stargharts disorder". Look it up. t's
characterized by a rapid onset of vision loss, usually in the late teens
to early 20's. It's a genetic recessive trait, with symptoms similar to
but not identical to the more common macular degeneration disease seen
in the aged.

The resulting vision loss of any macular degenerative process is the
loss of central vision, while peripheral vision remains intact.

Typically with Starghartz, the patient first loses distance vision, then
may or may not lose close-up vision. Vision in the mid range is
generally least affected.

I lost my distance vision first when I was 19. I could still read
printed text, tho, until I was 30 something. Now I use a magnifying
visor (the same one jeweler's use to read labels or directions or
whatever, holding the text about four inches from my eyes.

I cant read the label on the bottle...but I can see the bottle and the
color of the liquid in it. (text SMALL bottle BIG) I cant see facial
features, but I can see head and body shapes. I cant tell if a person
across the street is a male or a female, old or young, but I can thell
there's a person across the street. I see broad shapes and colors, not
much detail. I could drive IF I could just see brake lights and traffic
lights. I CAN see cars.

They're BIG. See? shapes and colors GOOD. Details, BAD. Big, SEE, small,
DONT see. Get it?

Take my word for it.

What you dont know about blindness, "legal blindness", Starghartz or
macular degenerative disease would fill volumes.

Is there anything you DO know aything about?

Im sorry. I typoed. I meant to say 2 cips of water. I made two cups of
syrup.

48 carbs, total, in the two cups of syrup.. There are 47 teaspoons in a
cup. So,
94 teaspoons in two cups.

about half a gram per serving. I can live with that.

But if you cant, hey, use the daV's.
