LX Mega-9 Loosey feeling

Thats why I've been a Sram man. Try some Sram
Attack or Rocket shifter. They come both ways Grip or
Trigger. I've never looked back since.

My Sram stuff on my mtn bike has no such problems ... currently.

Most common way to fix Shimano road shifter problem is to spray the hell out
of the shifter with WD-40. Not sure if this will work with mtb stuff.

I knew loosey It sounded like tech help vague but it is the best
description of going to shift and pushing the paddle way beyond usual and
getting no response, like nothing is springing. Its only a problem when I
try to switch gears.

Try carefully removing the top cap (usually a couple tiny screws) and taking
a look inside. Then, if it looks like the 'pawls' (sprung metal piece that
ratchets) are sticking, do as the other guy said - spray the hell out of it
with WD40 or GT 85 and work the trigger over and over, see if it loosens. If
it does, let it dry off, then put a heap of lightweight grease in there and
put the cap back on.
