Very wide indeed. Might be good for low-speed technical off-roading or
getting you well-noticed on-road, or making the tea, but not for much
else. I find 5, 12 and 20W spots are best for seeing where you're going
on unlit roads.

Do Ikea have any other versions? (I'm always on the look out for cheap
sources).

www.ricam.co.uk have various MR11s, and you should find a reasonable price
for Philips 20W 10 deg elsewhere if you do enough Googling. Unfortunatey
I don't know of anywhere cheaper than Lumicycle for 5 & 12W spots.

That's what I thought .. but I saw MR11 .. and thought "it's not my bill ..
throw two packs in the basket".

Now I'm looking for someone who has an MR11 fitted kitchen/bathroom ...

www.thelightbulb.co.uk 12W 7degree, four quid. Unfortunately, they
don't seem to list a 5W MR11, but they've got me stuff not listed on
teh website before, so you could ask (though that bulb is now listed,
I see).

I've used teh company for routine stuff (including bulbs for mny
lumis) and a number of more specialist things (specific colour
temperature flourescent tubes and metal halides) and always been very
happy with the service.

I got a nice narrow 10W 10 degree (IIRC) from Maplin last year. Under a
fiver. Not actually used it yet.
