  1. So I'm spending time with my wife garage-sailing, and I
happen upon a guy selling MTB parts. I look around a bit and
spot Brand Spankin' New XTR 952 shifters, cables and all.
Picked 'em up for $30. Woohoo

Why the hell do people still need shifter?

    Bill

The mind serves properly as a window glass rather than as a
reflector, that is, the mind should give an immediate view
instead of an interpretation of the world.

What kind of a rig do you put on a garage these days?

Hey, maybe this is evidence that Bill's Evangelical Church
of the One True Speed is spreading. If this keeps up, we'll
be seeing dual control pods all over ebay at firesale
prices, Nashbar pawning off cassettes for the price of
shipping, and chainrings being recycles as "art" all
    throughout the land.

    Can I get an AMEN!

Tom (still in the clutches of the Evil Geared One)

At first I was mizzen your point, but then I keeled over
    with luffter.

Sorry I feel like a heel for all of this, I truly am a guy
without a clew, next time I'll take a different tack, maybe
not stay so long and I'll be fairing a bit better.

BTW nice web page, I have done some racing over the years on
the great lakes, PRHF and Level racing, also used to work
for a research lab and did some work on trim tab design for
one of the Americas Cup boats.

I have kind of gotten away from it, not for lack of love of
sailing, more about lack of time. MTBing takes a couple of
hours whereas sailboat racing takes up whole weekends. I
still have a small Bombardier dinghy and like to go goofing
    around in our bay.

    Anyways, cheers - sailing forever
