Here in the US you can find sauce with about 4g net carb per half cup
on the shelf with the regular sauce, you just have to read the labels.
I use Casa Visco a lot, which is really quite good and low price too.
Many of the higher priced sauces also tend to be lower carb, as they
leave out sugar, etc, And CarbOptions makes one that is in that
    range.

Carb Options uses Splenda. However, as stated above, you can find lower
carb versions with fewer additives. For instance, most of the Victoria
line (which are outstanding but may only be a New England thing) are lower
in carbs than Carb Options and taste better.

  4. If a tomato sauce really has tomatoes in it, it will come near 8 grams per
tiny serving (label counts assume 6 servings per jar but four per jar is
    much more realistic.)

Tomatoes are a fruit. They are full of fructose and other sugars. Tomato
    sauce is concentrated tomatoes.

Watch out for the "deducting fiber from a carb count where fiber is already
    deducted" scam here.

No, the ones I eat are 4 grams per 1/2 cup (this doesn't include
subtracting fiber). They also have a good portion of olive oil and other
things (mushrooms, peppers), so it's not all tomatoes. Obviously, you do
have to watch your serving size.

I bought the Vodka sauce (got 'em cheap at a wholesale place):

All of their sauces kick butt. Sadly, on a low carb diet, there's not
much to eat them on. I'm using them for meatballs. I may also try
stuffed peppers. Other than that, I cant find too many uses for these.

Yeah, once again Jenny is out there spreading BS, complete with
accuasatory terms, like "scam." Now it's against tomatoe sauce.
I've seen plenty of sauces with 4 or 5 grams in a half cup. Maybe
someday she'll stop whining about foods and finally read a label.
