IIRC, when Hampsten won the Giro he washed out the same jersey in his sink
in the hotel every night and wore it the next day so he could give the new
ones he received to friends as gifts.

BTW, why is it that Hampsten's Giro win is considered such a great win (and
I agree), but winning the Giro now doesn't mean [censored]?

Going to see how they justified using the name because it is 'in the
