  1. Hi,

I just want to know why some young and active guys in their 20s have blood
    vessels pop out
from their back of their hand and arms, and they suffer temporary loss of
    consciousness when
they rise from long-sitting position. Their face appear red when they bend
    down to adjust the shoes!!!

Do these type of guys have bad health and is this curable? What is the cause
    of these?

    Thanks.
    Andy

Unless your doctor identifies significantly high blood pressure, or low
blood pressure with an identified pathological cause, I would suggest there
is little to worry about (has the example you are talking about seen a
doctor?). Veins popping out from back of hands and arms is likely just a
physical characteristic, such as say large or small lips.

As a young man (late teens early twenties) I suffered from postural
hypotension (a drop in blood pressure when moving from supine or sitting to
upright position that resulted in dizzines). It passed as I got older. If,
however, the temporary loss of consciousness is resulting in collapse, then
this carries significant risks in its own right and should be checked again
    with a medical professional.

Face going red when bending to do up shoes sounds more like it originates
with a restriction in breathing to me.

  3. Thank you Adam!

My object is sporty and dynamic, seldom fell sick, look like all those
    healthy individuals.

His blood vessels on his hand look normal in cool weather but pop up when in
    hot weather.

In the past, occassionally when he sit for really really long time and stand
    up then there is a
very short time of loss...feeling like blood is being cut off to the
    brain...

On two visits to hospital for some minor illness he found his blood pressure
    changed very
drastic... one time 105/65 and another time 140/80...

I will look into postural hypotension, when he is at rest and pressure is
    below normal, why is
    it called hypertension?

    Best Regards,
    Andy.

I seem to have the symptoms of postural hypotension ALL the time. Any motion
brings it on. I n addition to wooziness, my thinking process seem
compromized. It as if I had consumed a fair amount of alcohol without having
had any. I though it might be because of metaprolol, but it is not
metaprolol by itself. I am pointing the finger now at digoxin. Does that
    make any sense?

    Hi Bill

As I'm not a fan of cross-posting, I've restricted my responses to Andy to
one ng, but I'll cross post this one as I don't know where you posted from.
You're also posting into groups where people are eminently more qualified
than me to comment, so hopefully you'll get responses there as well (but you
might have to subscribe to the ng's you've posted to:-).

If you have concerns about possible side effects from digoxin or any
medication, see your prescribing doctor, or seek a second medical opinion if
you are not satisfied with the response. In my (admittedley limited)
experience, side effects with digoxin are rare, but everyone responds
uniquely to medication. See your doctor.
