I bought exactly the same bike last week but haven't been overly impressed so far after moving up
from a GT Timberline. I do like it but it's not as light as I thought, the disc brakes are a bit
tight so slowing me down I think and I just don't think I'm going as fast for the same amount of
effort. I paid £399 by the way ;-)

My LBS say they will ease with use. My rear brake was sticking a bit but seems ok now. My old bike
was so heavy anything would have been an improvement. £36? oh well, less than 10%.

Yes I was told that too. Not too much fun on a 9 mile commute though at the moment although it is
getting better and my commute time is the same as before.

I actually emailed everyone on the GT website to get some quotes which ranged from £400 to £480!!
Very happy with the eventual suppliers - Parkers of Bolton.
