Interesting. This says that a lot of celery seed sold is actually Lovage seed. I don't have this plant in my herb garden but I have whole celery seed in the spice cabinet. Might be worth planting.

I installed a perennial plant in April of 2006. It was 8" tall, but reached 3 feet by June. I hacked it to the ground, and it was back to 3 feet in a month. This year, it reached 6 feet. It's a beautiful plant just for its stalks & leaves, but because of its size, it needs to be used behind smaller plants. Mine's gonna be moved.

That's cool if it's a perennial. Thanks! -- Peace, Om

Recently, I found two peanuts, in their shells, laying in my driveway. I kicked them off the driveway, when I went to get the newspaper. The peanuts are growing in my lawn! I had no idea they were that easy to grow. I also have no idea where the peanuts came from.
What were we talking about?
Oh yeah, celery seeds posing as lovage. I may plant some celery seeds, and see if they are as easy as growing peanuts.

Probably via somebody's feeder and a local squirrel! I used to grow peanuts for the botany lab in college. They are rather fun, especially in a hanging planter.

That's my experience, too. Mine currently is in partial shade so it isn't growing as tall that fast.
