  1. Hi everyone,

Well, as you can guess this time of year is really busy. I am now behind by 475 post--after taking 3
weeks to catch up!! So I'm just posting everything in one!!

First, Congratulations to all the losers and maintainers--way to go!!

Second, to those who may have gone up a little--hang in there, it'll come off really soon!!!

Third, I weighed in today and thought I maintained--I was feeling a little bummed about it until I
got on the newsgroup and realized I didn't maintain--I lost 1/2 pound. Not bad since I know I'm
    retaining water right now!!!

Fourth, my NSV for the week--I put on a pair of pants that are one size smaller than I normally
wear. Now these are pants that I have worn quite often but usually have to lay on the bed, suck my
stomach in and then be in pain to get off the bed so they can stretch out. I put them on Saturday
and didn't have to lay down to button them!!

My last thing is this--I will probably be looking for a lot of stress relief with this newsgroup in
the next month or two which may mean a lot of long posts--or it may mean you don't see me for a
while. I just got an email from my SIL that my nephew is going back to Iraq. He was deployed there
in January last year as a bomb sweeper. He came home in May or June and apparently just got orders
to go back. This makes me very nervous. While I agree with what they are doing there, believe it's
best for the people of Iraq (I know that's not a popular opinion) and I am very excited that after
waiting for 12 years for Sadaam to pay for his "crimes" (my cousin was in the first Iraq war) and
knowing it's finally going to happen--I'm terrified that something will happen to my nephew!! When
he was gone the first time I lost many nights sleep because of his job in Iraq. He's a Marine--they
were the ones who seemed to be hit the most at the beginning. I fully anticipate many more sleepless
    nights and stress filled days.

I want to thank you all in advance for the support I know I will get when I come here to vent, cry
or get angry and for the support I always get when I come here to share success!!!

  2. Congrats on the loss and the jeans not being nearly impossible to close.

    Best for your nephew.

  3. Janice:

Congrats on the .5 weight loss!! Special congrats for the pants you used to have to lay down
    to zip up!!!

Come here as often as you need to and vent as needed. I wish you and your family the best of luck.

So congrats on the 1/2lb down - and best of luck (if that's the right term?) to you and your family

  6. Congrats on the 1/2 pound loss and the new pants size.

My son was in the Navy for a while so I can understand the stress that you must be feeling. Hang in
there and vent away. That's what a support group is for.
