Some of these brands are available here in the Midwest. I miss
Rockwood mints (don't make them any more - vital for a cookie recipe I
have) or a sweet-[censored] kind of candy my son is hankering for - "Tiger
Bites."

Maybe you just aren't looking in the right aisle. I can find it at both of
my grocery stores. I won't buy it though.

Don't! It's only a blast from my past. It was the first pizza I ever
ate. I was thirteen and wouldn't see commercial pizza for four years. If
I remember, there was some flour with instructions on how to make the
dough, a can of pizza sauce and some dry parmesan looking cheese to
spread on it. I certainly didn't have a pizza pan and am left wondering
what I put the dough on. I don't remember.
But it might be fun for my oldest granddaughter, although she has
watched grandpa make a real pizza. Well... my definition of real pizza.

It's the only kind of pizza I had as a kid too. I think I was in my teens
before I had any other kind of pizza. Every once in awhile I have to have a
pizza with only sauce, parmesan cheese and hamburger. I use homemade crust
and good sauce and cheese though!

Rinso went off the market here in New Zealand in the late '80s (I
think). It didn't work very well in cold water, and a lot of NZ'ers use
cold water washes to save electricity.

Late to this thread, but where is good ole Chef Boyardee's box pizza
mix? When I was in (boarding) high school at Lakenheath American HS in
Suffolk,.England, we used to go over to the PX and get this stuff to
make back in the dorm. This used to be one of my guilty pleasures...up
until I couldn't find it anymore :-( Stuff was like bad marinara
smeared cardboard with bad cheese - great stuff!!

You can still get the Chef Boyardee pizza stuff. The Apian way one is the
one they've quit making and it was way better.
