Well, yesterday was my weekly weigh-in day and I didn't lose any weight.
Certainly not the first time... but then I took my measurements and I have
gained an inch in both my waist and thighs for the first time this year! 🙁
My job recently changed at work, and physically it is a huge change from
what I used to do. I took my pedometer to work for a week and found that I
walk between 1 and 3 miles every day during the normal course of my job. I
work in the office but get paged to the (large) plant every 15 to 20 minutes
for press checks. That and the general urgency/busyness causes me to sort
of speedwalk around all the time at work, covering lots of ground. I spend
a lot of time walking and getting paid for it. 🙂
At least, that is how my job used to be.
Now I have an office job that is no longer tied to the needs of production.
Actually, I sit at my desk all day long on the computer. The farthest I
move is perhaps to check my mailbox or make a copy at the copier. Sitting
still all day... quite a change for me. I have added walking during my
lunch break and on my elipse at home after work, but I know it isn't enough
to make up for the constant spurts of walking that I used to get while at
work.
I'm a little depressed because I've lost one of the "constants" in my
lifestyle that was helping me to lose weight. (Although I had that same
walking-filled job for the past 2 years as I got to my fattest-ever weight).
