Good luck. I've never regretted buying my Brompton two years ago now, since when it has been my main
mode of transport for the four-five miles to work in Central London. This evening on the way home I
folded it to shop in Lush and Tesco on the King's Road. This means I don't have to carry a heavy
lock or chain with it either.

Note that the Airnimal (also various Bike Fridays, hot Moultons) isn't really a folder in the same
sense as the Birdy. It can be broken down to fit into a carry case, but the idea is you take it
somewhere, rebuild it (minutes rather than hours, but not seconds like a Birdy or Brompton) and then
have a high performance sports machine. As stated in the Airnimal review in the last CTC "Cycle"
mag, "in the railway station grand prix you won't see the man on the Brompton again until you're
both several miles down the road". The Birdy Black has apparently seen some action in the odd
triathlon, but the Airnimal would remain the better performance bike, I think.

Oh, almost definitely. They now supply the pace bikes for the German rollerblading squad according
to a snippet in VeloVision. I really wouldn't want to do that job on a Brompton! Wouldn't want to
slot the Dahon behind a seat on a crowded train though: you choose, you lose!
