Look Pedals

No.
The original Look patents have expired IIRC. You can still get classic
French Look Deltas or 100% compatible copies but the new smaller format
Keo is their only current product. The small series cleat doesn't fit
the classic pedals nor the reverse.

Look's original 1983 design (& the 1991 "arc" enhancement) was a true
classic, cleat support is deep and broad for the foreseeable future.
Unless weight is a critical factor I'd stay with the classic model, YMMV
they both work fine.

No.

If you want to start replacing your pedals, the best way to go is to
shop for them on ebay
i have seen complete keo kits under $80

(FWIW dept.): When it was time to get the fleet off the Campy Profit
pedals, I went to Ultegra 6610's. Now improved, mod. # 6620's, with a
metal contact plate instead of the 6610's plastic part. The cleat has
"pontoons" that walk better IME than Looks or Campy, don't wear the
contact area as quickly, either. Function is good, can be a little
tricky to enter but very easy when I pay attention and remember which
pedal I'm using-- nope, it's not clips/straps, Look, SPD, or Campy
<g>.

Mentioned in case you have a set or three of Looks that are getting a
little long in the tooth; in that case IMHO worth checking out.

Mixing mfg's during the transition was a real pain, always grabbing
the wrong bike and/or shoes. I finally learned to just hide the SPD
shoes used at Spin class. --D-y

I still ride my 18-year-old Shimano Dura Ace PD-7401 Look-licensed
pedals. They are a bit heavier than the ones LOOK made under their own
brand, but that is because they are constructed entirely out of metal,
unlike LOOK's which used a lot of plastic parts. These pedals were
made to last a lifetime. The bearings are amazingly smooth even after
all these years.
There are still pairs of these floating around on ebay for very little
money, although usually they are cosmetically challenged. FYI, they
work perfectly with both the original fixed and free-ARC LOOK cleats.

I bent the spindle on my Shimano Look-licensed pedals after maybe
three years of use. Luckily, I did not break the spindle, which makes
it hard to get home. Some things last longer for some people than for
others. I'll let you know when I break my current set of Keos (which
replaced a broken Look -- a snapped spindle).

Also, the Keo cleat will give you a really sloppy fit in an old Look
pedal -- good enough for rollers but not good enough for the road. --
