Hello all - I'm new to this group.
Does anyone know of any decent trekking in Cornwall? The
sort of thing I'm looking for is a 4/5 day walk along
(preferably) the north coast. Climbing / bouldering along
the way would be fantastic, but not important. There will be
two of us, we won't need a campsite as we'll be bivvying.
We're planning to go in mid-June.
Has anyone done anything similar? Any tips as to route?

Have just happened upon the South West Coast Path website -
sounds perfect.
Anybody done any of this path? Any advice for which part to
do if I only have a week?

I've done it from somewhere around Falmouth to somewhere
past Lands End somewhere around 30 years ago. I'm now
somewhat vague about it but I remember some things:
a) There is a lot more up and down than one might
imagine. OK the cliffs are not that big compared with
a mountain but going up and down little cliffs several
times a day adds up.
b) If (wild) camping, extra care must be taken about water.
One is a lot less likely to find a natural water supply
and water must be begged from the local inhabitants.
c) Do NOT pitch camp near a lighthouse.

Yes, a beam crossing your tent every thirty seconds is quite
annoying. I speak from personal experience :-(
And some of them make a noise too!

Ah. No, I don't. In fact, in my naivety I hadn't considered
foghorns at all. I really need to get out more :-)
