Oh ick! We only bought those when we visited my grandparents
in Detroit. The water was vile. It's hard to say whether the
water with Fizzies was any less vile. (I gather the water
there is great now.)

I'm not a scientist, but I _did_ stay at a Holiday Inn Express last
night. :) Seriously, I _do_ have a minor in chemistry, if that
helps.

A pousse-cafe is indeed made of layers of alcoholic beverages of
different densities. So, for that matter, is a Black & Tan (Guinness
Stout and a milder beer).
