He's not a pro but Herb Johnson clocked 2:13, good enough for a top 20
in the 3's.

Plus the three guys who beat him aren't exactly young either. Maybe climbers
improve with age...

Bob Cook Memorial. (May I?) I saw Bob Cook ride up Suicide Hill in the
Coors Classic. The Columbians charged and sprinted, Cook floated. A
woman in my club, a former Colorado racer who won Mt. Evans in '82
(time good for 6th this year), Jan (DeYoung) Haney, has a story or two
about "Cookie", who is fondly remembered for "other" than his cycling

Remember, it's developmental. If they win great, if they do well, sper,

In the meantime, I have a proposal.

Let's rename the mountain. Gov. Evans was
apparently a quasi-genocidal [censored].
In contrast, Bob Cook was apparently a
real nice guy.

Even if nobody else goes for it, I move
we bicycle folks start calling it
Bob Cook Mountain. He already owns
it and always will.
