This sounds crazy - I don't understand how they guy doesn't starve.
If he's not taking in vitamins, he should get things like scurvy beri-beri
    etc.

I guess NASA would be the appropriate agency to study such a spacey idea. It
reminds me of the macrobiotic diet rage of the seventies. That theory
proposed reducing your food intake in stages until you could live on air
alone. Unfortunately, many of those who got to the three grains of rice a
day stage died before the got the hang of it.

    This fraud is explained here:
    http://www.randi.org/jr/071103.html

". . . as the Hindustan Times story developed, it
was discovered that Manek took a bit more than
sunlight for sustenance. His wife had somewhat
hyperbolized his claim - what a surprise! - and
admitted that he also consumed buttermilk and fruit
    juices."

The same applied to another Breatharian nut in Australia, the author of a
widely sold book, but whose name I forget. She admitted she ate some
food, but because "she liked it" not because she needed it. A TV station
tested her claim out under careful supervision. The test had to be stopped
on medical advice after four or five days.

Some of these idiots are already dead. The guru herself is a swine. In
secret she does eat. But she declares that a "social events".

Simple ... he doesn't eat when people are around, and the
"coffee, tea or some other liquid" has substantial calories

Basically, the fakir is faking it.

When businesses invoke the "protection of consumers," it's a lot like
politicians invoking morality and children - grab your wallet and/or
your kid and run for your life.

I have found absolutely no evidence that NASA was ever there, and
    ever verified anything.
