I ride a Vortex. I didn't go for the Ghisallo because I don't not like
compact geometry frames.

100% pleased with the bike and the company, cannot fault it.

You could check out Omega cycles if you want titanium. (I've got one of
thier audax bikes and think it's great). The Radius had areally good write

Girlfriend has a Velo, which is of a considerably lesser spec than
what you have your eyes on [guess it would be at $1500], but she
really likes it with no problems so far.

Although Litespeed do offer more frame styles, there's not much it
does that my Habanero can't. The Habanero is a lot closer to your
budget, and (IMHO) it's a nicer finish too.

That would be 'Vela'. Only problem so far is falling off it ;-)
Bought it October, 2003, cost me USD1200. Worth every penny.
