LiDL bike bits

Blimey, you lot get a lot of stuff in UK. Lidl Holland had the cycle stuff
a week ago and we didn't get nearly all that!

A few tips though; if the shorts are the same, then get a size smaller
than you usually do, 'cos they seem to be a bit generous.
The cycle computer (wireless) is affected by all sorts of things and I'm
not too happy with mine. If I put it near my optical (not wireless) mouse,
then it tells me I'm doing 99.9km/h. I expect that's because it says it's
"infrared transmission".
A bit suspect but hey, it's cheap.

The tops are generously sized as well. I havent been a medium for
years except at Lidl.

Wow. You use a mouse while cycling! dont tell my boss or I will be
expeccted to work while riding 🙂

Its damn cheap cheese though as many bike shops sell variations of the
same all purpose taiwanese bike toolkit for upto £50. The Draper
rebrand can be over £70.

The factory that makes these seems to specialise in lots of variations
of the included tools and how their positioned in the case but its
obvious to anyone that they are all coming out of the same factory.

This is the one I bought but I'm tempted to get the Lidl version as a
spare for keeping in the car.

Yes, I thought the same when I saw the online Lidl picture. A lot of
it looks suspiciously like the Bike Hand branded tools that Mike
Dyason sells for very little.

I'm not normally a fan of cheap tools but if these are the same as the
ones available from Dyasons then the 15 quid Lidl will be asking makes
them a canny purchase.

I've had a chain whip, chain breaker, crank puller, and both BB and
cassette tools from this lot and they have all been perfectly
adequate for the few bikes I maintain here at home.

I'll call Wensleydale on the pedal spanner though.

I actually thought the pedal spanner was ok but the adjustable spanner
in mine is pure trash and is the only item in the kit that I have an
issue with quality wise.
