Essentially it says Trek was in bed with Lance. Lance had a grudge
against Lemond and used Trek to get revenge by damaging and not
promoting the Lemond brand.

Also says sales of Lemond bikes went up after Greg's controversial
statements, and that some French company wants to market the brand.

Interesting. There will be some kind of settlement. Both sides will
eventually run out of [censored].

Greg, once the darling of pretty much everyone, has morphed into a
bitter old once-fat man. It sucks - oops, bad choice of words - that
his childhood was damaged and that the damage remains to this day, but
that doesn't mean he can say whatever he wants and people will still
love him and buy his stuff. He's blinded himself to reality.

As is usual in such cases, there will be a settlement, and if there's
a gag order, I'd assume that he wouldn't be able to comply with it.

Armstrong's positive, along with a $500K payoff. More work for the UCI
lawyers...

than Greggie's lawyers wrote up. The first items in his complaint are

The point is, Sandy, that Greg has always been about Greg. LeMond definitely
has a point that "effective" drugs have spoiled the bicycle racing. The fact
remains that it is extremely difficult to get them out and drugs per se'
have been there since the beginning of racing.

You have to be pretty stupid to try to advertise that the people that are
throwing money at you are somehow cheating the world via Armstrong's
winning.

All Trek wanted from LeMond was for him to just shut up and merely be the
picture behind the brand name. But that was too difficult for LeMond. Too
bad for him. I really liked the way he raced but not a whole lot more about
him.
