Since this *IS* a running newsgroup and not a political
one, I am ending my participation in the on-going
    political debate.

    I all reality I'm fairly moderate. I'm not a idealogue. I
don't listen to talk radio or belong to a political party. I
can say that Republicans and conservatives for the most part
stick to the facts. They don't go off on these crybaby
tirades whenever their candidate or cause loses. They state
    their case on move on.

    I know a lot of liberal-leaning people and I'd say easily 19
out of 20 are so damn whiny I find myself moving more and
more to the right just to get away from them. All I hear is
"Bush stole the election, he's a moron, has a DUI, blah,
blah blah." Do you people have any idea how positively
STUPID you sound? Luckily for you, there's that 1 out of 20
who can INTELLIGENTLY argue their case and do it without bad-
mouthing, slandering, and out-right lying about the other
side. I still don't agree with them, but I can respect them.

I grew up in the 80's and the one thing I remember is the
non-stop bashing of President Reagan. "He was a cowboy, a
B-grade movie actor, an absolute dunce." The attacks
continued through the Bush (#41) administration and
everyone mysteriously got quiet during the Clinton years. I
don't think it's because Clinton was beyond reproach, but
rather Conservatives have more constructive things to do
than sit around and bad-mouth and lie about their
opponents. What did Conservatives do? They rallied and took
back Congress and have more or less held it ever since.
They've also strengthened themselves at the state level
    across the nation.

Perhaps if Democrats and their supporters would stop crying
about everything and start DOING something then maybe
they'll start winning elections again. Mindless idiotic
bashing is only going to assure the Republicans continue
running the country. Get over the fact that your guy LOST in
2000 and your current policies are unpopular.

    I don't think

Aha, aren't we fudging here a bit, in true Republican style.
What you meant when you said "everyone got quiet" is the
Democrats got quiet. I'm sure you don't have Alzheimer's to
have forgotten how Republicans cried hoarse day in and day
out about all the bad things Clinton or his wife had done.
Or have you? Have you conveniently (or by way of destiny)
forgotten how they spent millions of dollars trying to
impeach him? And now, all of a sudden they seem to have gone
quiet. Completely. No more talk of impeaching a president
for leading us into a war which has to date killed 800+ US
soldiers - on the basis of lies.

In all reality I'm fairly moderate. I'm not a idealogue. I
don't listen to talk radio or belong to a political party. I
can say that Democrats and liberals for the most part stick
to the facts. They don't go off on these crybaby tirades or
try slimy tactics or try redistricting whenever their
candidate or cause loses. They don't send their attack-dogs
to attack the other party's candidate or engage in
mudslinging their own candidate like they did to McCain when
they said he was gay. They state their case and move on.

Do you people have any idea how positively STUPID or
hypocritical you sound? Luckily for you, there's that 1 out
of 200 who can INTELLIGENTLY argue their case and do it
without bad-mouthing, slandering, and out-right lying about
the other side. I still don't agree with them, but I can

  4. Interesting, butjust BS. We did no whining for the last 12
years, and we now have a legitamite reason to whine, the
white house was stolen away from us, illegally, immorally,
and it was just plain wrong. Presidents should be elected,
not appointed, and we all know Bush lost by over half a
million votes. I listened to repubs cry like little [censored]
for 8 years about Clinton, and now it's our turn, and our
right to [censored]. You are not what you say you are, because
you only *recognize* the [censored]' from dems, but not from
repubs. Your kind of thinking is exactly what is destroying
america. No more [censored] after november. But you will be.

I think you meant, stuck on a elevator with "a john". On the
brighter side, you'll be able to pickup a few bucks while
    you're waiting to be rescued.

  7. Okay, liberals are constantly accused of calling
conservatives stupid. We think we're smarter than them, blah
blah blah. This message, in a nutshell, is the reason. This
is the kind of brain-damaged [censored] that conservative talk
radio is shoving down the throats of the flyovers.

Did it really get quiet during the 90's? How convenient that
you heard all this criticism of the republicans and did not
notice the 8 solid years of investigation of President
Clinton (who had higher approval ratings leaving office than
ol' scrotum face), and all they came up with was a BLOWJOB?
I'm really sorry if that offended you, but it did not kill
800+ american soldiers and 10,000 + iraqi civilians. So take
your dumbass brush cutting cowboy worshipping lying plain
speakin' nuclear mispronouncin' Valerie Plame outin' [censored]
Cheney shadow hidin' Fliight suit prancin about oil business

know-nothing ass to another running newsgroup. This one is
    for people with brains.

By the way, in the interest of bipartisanship, I would vote
for John McCain for president in a heartbeat.

And you have forced me into my very first newsgroup flame.
