  1. Was reported a few days ago in the Daily Peloton.
"Chechu confirmed that his teammate Floyd Landis will be moving to Phonak
next season and that Triki Beltrán will be team leader in the Vuelta Espana,
a race that he will not participate in."

It's a bit strange that the Landis part of the story, which would be a major
move if true, would be buried in the third paragraph and not the lead. I'd
wait a bit to see if that one is true. If it is, it's a huge story and one
that will impact Postal/Discovery in a significant way.

....Or someone who flunked 10th grade English, exactly.
Maybe we're supposed to guess who is skipping?

Sort of like when Hamilton, Leipheimer, Livingston, Heras, etc, left. If there
is one thing we know about Johan it's that he has the eye for talent and the
budget to easily recover from stuff like this.

With Popo joining the team next year it looks like this is what Landis needs
to do to explore his abilities without constraint.

It was almost a footnote on one of Frankie Andreu's journal entries.

"Though most of the team will be back next year, Ekimov is planning on
retiring and Landis won't be back."

And that will be the end of Floyd.
