Hi! New here, so please forgive if this question has been
covered a thousand and two times! I have an opportunity to
buy a Landice 8700 treadmill for $1100. It has been
reconditioned with new belt, etc. I've seen it, walked on
it, and pretty much like it. It's quiet and does not have
alot of bells and whistles which is fine with me - only
speed, incline and stop/start/pause buttons. It will do
caloric usage also, but no heart monitor, which is
superfluous anyway to me. It is five years old and will have
a limited warranty (6 months parts, 3 months labor). Just
wanted to see if this is a good deal or not? I will not be
running, will only be using it for walking two to four miles
three times/week. DH may use for running, but only
occasionally. We are both normal height and weight so it
will not have undue stress or wear due to that.
Appreciate any feedback you can give or if this is not good,
what is the best treadmill (basic, not with a lot of
programming on the 'dashboard'😉? I know about the low end
ones and will not get those - I'm talking about the higher
plane of treadmills such as True, Landice, Pacemaster, Life
Fitness, etc.). I prefer to get one used rather than new due
to their high cost. Figure they're made well enough for
commercial use, one should last through my occasional use.
Thanks! Thea
