So, you're suggesting that knowledge of the Italian language is not de
facto proof of doping? I guess that still leaves pretty much everything
else.

Had. Yeah, he manages to speak some Italian when the folks with RAI
interview him, although it's pretty halting... along the lines of
"uh... giro MOLTO bello...uh... Simoni forte...uh...", but they still

I think he gets credit for trying. He could just respond in French or
English, but he manages to get his point across, and the effort is
appreciated. OTOH, they're getting irritated with him for not doing
the Giro.

With out a doubt he deserves credit for foreign interviews. I was referring
to his English interviews. lol

Well, that proves he's clean. Riders tell all in their Cycling News diaries, and
he didn't mention he was doping there.
