was going over my west highland way stuff and I noticed that
when I wanted to hike, in april there is a 4 week window
that closes a chunk off for lambing and reroutes it along a road.
has anyone had to deal with this in the past? how do you know when
the labming season will begin (if i can work it out in advance
id like to go on either side of the window and avoid the reroute!)...
is there any way I can find out historically when the lambing
season kicked on in march/april/may over the last couple of years?
in the guidebook it says lambing is 'sensitive' to the hill farmers,
but doesnt talk about rerouting, yet the maps talk about rerouting!
aargh.
