I have a pair of NB 900s that have this type of lace. I haven't really
noticed them staying tied better than other laces, but I normally don't
have that problem.

They do stay better tied than standard, single-knotted laces, for me. I
think I must have a filthy running style cos my laces come undone frequently
if not double-knotted. I once missed a qualifying time by a few seconds
because of that (I'd forgotten to double-knot 'em).

I've noticed that flats tend to have flat laces, and these seem to stay tied
better than the round laces they have on trainers. Most of the people who have
trouble with shoes coming untied are wearing trainers with those round laces
that come undone easily.

It would be nice if better laces started showing up on other shoes.

I've got those funky laces on my new NB766 and I really like them a lot. I
find it's a lot easier to keep my shoes tied than the standard rounded
laces, especially since I tend to not seem to have much shoelace to work
with.
