  1. Hi

Using the CompuTrainer or VeloTron SpinScan one gets to look at the L -> R leg power split. If you use one of these units what do you consider the limits of a normal/acceptable split?

Looks like a permanent 50/50 is the ideal but we don't live in a perfect world.

Or does it just not matter at all as long as the total is fine 🙂

  2. What are you at now?
When I train in spinscan mode I try to keep it at 50/50. Using spinscan I found I tend to be lazy with my left leg, causing my right leg to fatigue sooner. Before I had a torque split of about 45/55.

Either that, or you pull back/up less with your right leg.

Generally about 48/52, not seen as big a difference as 45/55 as yet.

  5. I have a polar CS600 which reports LvsR output. I find that at the start and end of last season (presumably when I'm not near my "peak"😉 I was always 50-50. During the season, as I got stronger, I trended towards about 47-53. During my fastest months, I was consistently 47-53. Interesting to note (and I'm not sure its related) that I seem to have minor back problems when I'm 50-50, but those pains completely disappear during the season when I'm 47-53.

  6. Recently I tried riding one legged with the Polar CS600 and I was interested to see that it came up with a 30/70 left right balance, when in fact it was 0/100.
